NB Gurung Art: Capturing The Beauty Of Nepal

Whether you’re into extreme sports, photography, exploring different cultures and religions, food, exotic animals or even if you just want to unwind in a tranquil environment, Nepal offers something for everyone. Nepali Watercolour artist based in NB Gurung manages to capture the beauty and the vulnerability of Nepal like no other, painting scenes from all over Nepal to perfectly demonstrate just how entirely stunning this country is.

Swyambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu is a historically important place of worship for Buddhists and Hindus, also known as the Monkey Temple. Now part of this ancient and amazing structure no longer exists after the April 2015 earthquake. Executed from sketches, painted on handmade paper using the wash technique.

This painting displays a scene that is far away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. NB likes to travel (or even trek) to more remote and local areas of Nepal to paint landscapes, showing a whole different side to the Himalayan region. This painting simply named ‘Landscape’ captures the artist’s world in watercolour on Indian handmade paper.
